The Australian Education Union needs to be investigated for corruption!

By - An Anonymous Teacher

We were made to think that the Victorian construction union was corrupt, due to its affiliation with bikie gangs and mobsters; but it would seem that the Australian Education union (AEU) is far more insidious!

I was handed a booklet today; from the teacher’s union, it was the AEU 2024, Autumn edition. I expected to find that it had all the particulars you’d expect to find in a booklet for teachers, by its union representatives; reports on pay, student achievements, advice for how to support students from migrant families and school statistics.

However when I opened the booklet I was angry, disappointed and surprised to find that this 40 page magazine had devoted 7 of its pages to trans signalling and how to include trans children into our schools and classrooms.

I, and every teacher who is part of the Australian Education Union, received this magazine/booklet. As every teacher, in every Australian school is highly encouraged, to the point of being bullied, to join the union; it could be estimated that 99% of Australian teachers received this Autumn 2024, edition of the union’s magazine.

On page 35 of this edition there is an article, entitled, ‘Backing trans rights, freedom and safety - A new trans-led Australian organisation is building a movement to fight for justice and equality for trans and gender diverse people’, written by Christine Long, and the following statements are made:

“Anti-trans abuse, harassment and violence is escalating rapidly in Australia’, the article claims that 3000 trans people were surveyed, the magazine doesn’t disclose who the 3000 were and how they relate to school practices and policies, why this data is relevant to classrooms, where they experienced the harassment or whether they were the instigators and perpetrators of the harassment.

Christine Long writes;

“The AEU has pledged to stand with transgender and gender diverse members and students in the face of the increasing anti-trans lobbying and disinformation”.

AEU will be part of a “global meeting of leading anti-trans disinformation researchers to share learnings and to discuss ways to arrest the spread of disinformation particularly about gender-affirming medical care”.

The AEU asserts that; “Australian health system have been designed with a pervasive culture that privileges straight cisgender people”.

The conclusion of Long’s article is that, all schools need gender diverse clubs to support ‘rainbow students’.

The article contained quotes from: Jackie Turner (Trans Justice Project Director) & Rowan Richardson (or Katherine Richardson as I knew her before she 'transitioned')

The article links teachers to the following resources.

Trans Justice

In other words they have no backing to support their statements on whether transition and affirmation are science based and appropriate for students in schools.

On another page, in this edition of the AEU magazine, there are trans badges and advertisements for school pride events and wear it purple days, to support rainbow kids, and there is a full page advertising pride events.

The Australian Education Union needs to be investigated for corruption as we have not been consulted about the inclusion of trans ideology into our schools. As union members we are given the opportunity to vote for all changes made to our working conditions, pay, shifts in curriculum and work incentives; yet the AEU is advocating for us teachers to embrace changes that we have not voted for.

School teachers pay high fees to be AEU members and yet as shown by the polices represented within AEU latest edition, we are not involved in creating work conditions that support the wholistic health, safety and wellbeing of our students instead we are forced to promote a movement that sterilises and castrates children, mutilates their genitals and creates life long medical and mental suffering (See Cass Report, 2024).

As there are 7 pages in this union magazine devoted to trans ideology, one can assume that organisations such as ACON, Trans justice and Trans Hub are corporate sponsors within the AEU, and yet such transparency has not been disclosed to the paying teachers whose fees profit this union.

"When this current cohort of students go down the affirmation and medical pathway promoted by the AEU, and later detransition and take schools, doctors and teachers to court, will the union pay our court fees when teachers are sued by these students who regret their transition? Will the union protect us?"

It would seem that students and teachers need to be protected from the Australian Education Union and that its trans policies need to be voted on and rejected.
